The beautiful sisterhood of Mosque No. 38 in Columbia, South Carolina, hosted a truly elegant and spirited M.G.T. High Hat Tea Party, exemplifying unity, culture, and high civilization under the guidance of Student Sister Captain Shanasia Muhammad.

The event was a stunning display of grace and sisterhood, with each group of sisters creatively decorating tables with unique themes—some adorned with lights, elegant floral arrangements, and sparkling crystals. One delighted child summed it up perfectly, exclaiming, “Wow, this table has a lot of bling!”

The gathering was not only a celebration of beauty and modesty but also a moment of education and entertainment. Sisters joyfully participated in a custom Jeopardy game focused on etiquette and fine dining. Sister Georgia moved the room with her musical gift as she played the guitar, adding warmth and inspiration to the event. The sisters were also given a chance to “give a good word” to each sister by writing an affirming comment about them on a piece of paper. The women were given beautiful gifts to frame their quotes.
Sis. Shanasia Muhammad also gave each table a question to discuss for their "table talk." One table was asked, "If the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad were at your table, what would you say to him besides 'Thank you.' Even the youth were given high-level conversation questions. This was a wonderful idea to keep everyone engaged and having fun.

Lastly, a lively Hat Contest brought flair and fun, showcasing the sisters’ individual style and creativity. The event concluded with a brief yet powerful presentation by Dr. Audrey Muhammad about the Mothers of Civilization Holiday. She also commended the women for exemplifying high civilization and gifted each sister a token of appreciation.

This weekend also highlighted the invaluable role of the Fruit of Islam (F.O.I). Sister Shanasia, affectionately known as “the unofficial cheerleader for the F.O.I.”, offered a heartfelt thanks on Sunday to the brothers who stood post in the heat to ensure the safety of the women throughout the event.

Virtue Today Magazine extends a special thank you to the believers and laborers of Mosque No. 38 for such an inspiring and dignified weekend. As the saying goes, “The cream always rises to the top,” and we eagerly anticipate more great things from the mighty city of Columbia.
